Stay tuned for new 2020 dates.
Get inspired with like-minded writers and add a little ‘je ne sais quoi’ to your craft!
The Setting - Live the week in a French Village, slow down, enjoy leisurely 2-hour lunches, dine in restaurants or buy your food at the local butcher, bakery and weekly market. Immerse yourself in French village life all while working on daily writing or journaling.
Everyone’s Welcome - No need to have writing background, but please feel free to bring any writing you are working on to review or explore with the teacher or group. We will be exploring topics that are fun, inspirational and sometimes even edgy and to help develop the concept of writing.
Get Inspired - Surround yourself with the beauty of the Dordogne, explore its gardens, the medieval village, rolling hills, winding rivers, castles and sit in cafes to work. We will be visiting the Chateaux of famed dancer Josephine Baker as well as Colette’s home and gardens for inspiration from these avant-garde women.
What You’ll Learn - Daily sessions employ a knowledgeable, collaborative approach, supportive of individual needs. We will explore topics such as plot, main characters, setting, central theme, emotional climax and even an ending with a twist of surprise; all with the goal to help motivate your creative juices and define the outline of your short story, poetry or novel.
An easy-going atmosphere that encourages relaxation, inspiration, learning and friendship
